This year, Chris and Ponzi Pirillo created one of the best conferences I have ever attended in my life, Gnomedex 8.0. They say content is king though and I think that speaks to the quality of the speakers on stage this year. I was lucky enough to work as the speaker coordinator for the conference and wanted to share the Thank you note I wrote them with you. I was simply blown away by them.

Dear Gnomedex 8.0 Speakers,

As I am unpacking my bags from the Seattle trip today, my mind is reeling full of colorful images and sound bytes of Gnomedex. I've been planning conferences since 1995 and this conference was by far one of the very best that I've been a part of. My mind and heart were pushed to their limits many times during the conference; I was simply blown away by you. The depth, breadth, and diversity of the content provided by you, the tools and resources available and what heights we can reach through these inspired our intellect, creativity and feelings to new levels. I laughed, cried, and sat in admiration watching you take me through a journey full of intellectual and emotional delight. Reading twitter, blog posts and talking to attendees and other staff alike, I know my feelings and thoughts are shared by everyone in the conference.

I am sure our paths will cross again, but until then please know that we are grateful for your presentation and time at the conference. It's an honor and a privilege to know you and be in your presence.

I can't wait for Gnomedex 8.0. I couldn't go last year, because I was almost 9 months pregnant. This year though, come hail or high water, I am going to Gnomedex. Going to Gnomedex for me is like going to camp with my best friends. I can't wait to hang out with my old friends and meet new ones. Gnomedexers know how to party, but the speaker line-up this year is just amazing as well. Gnomedex is one of those few conferences I go to when there are no dull moments. Hope to see you there!

I am an action flick kindda girl. I loved watching Iron Man and Hulk this summer and couldn't wait to see the Dark Knight in the IMAX theater. After seeing the Dark Knight, all I have to say is that I want my 15 bucks and two and half of hour of my liife back. This movie was dark, with minor points of goodness and light. I didn't like the first one in the series, and watching this one, I know I'll never watch a Batman movie from this series again. I pine for Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Those were the days.
