Yes of course the Irish boys are funny and handsome and great to party with. And the French men are charming and oh so sophisticated, and the Belgian boys are sweet and good-looking. And The British men are intellectual and intriguing. But oh man, you have to meet the women. They are all that and brains too.

Meeting Loic Lemeur’s lovely wife, Geraldine was such a pleasure. I think she should have been on the stage the second day of Les Blogs 2.0. Sure, we wouldn’t have had all that controversy to talk about, but I bet Geraldine would have handled the situation with that sense of diplomacy and finesse that only the French know about. Speaking of controversy let me talk a little about Tara. She will rock your world. She is sassy, sexy, smart and sweet. I had so much fun hanging out with her that I can’t wait to see her again and party all night long with her.

And speaking of partying all night long, let me tell you a little about Anina. She blows away any stereotypical ideas you may have ever had about models. Yes, of course she is stunning like a model should be, but her beauty is not skin deep. She is animated and radiant, friendly and gregarious, and a real sharp cookie. I simply can’t get enough of Anina.

Speaking of sharp cookies, who says girls can’t be geeky? I challenge you to try and say that to Rachel Clarke, Nicole Simon , or Sarah Blow. Rachel manages the creation and development of websites for some of Diageo’s global brands. Nicole is the podcasting goddess you all know about or should know about and Sarah is a software engineer who puts together blogging dinners for girls. These women are not only smart, but they are beautiful and kind. They are a real joy to know.

Speaking of smart and beautiful, I have to say a few words about Rebecca Mackinnon. She is simply captivating. I enjoyed listening to her at Les Blogs 2.0, but she intrigued me so much more when I saw her at the Global Voices conference. She is one of those women who can walk in a room and have all eyes turn to look at her. Everyone wants to know what she has to say.

I met so many other beautiful and smart women in addition to the above. They make me proud to be a woman any day.
